Reaching milestones hand-in-hand
This clinic is an occupational therapy clinic committed to empowering children and families through evidence-based interventions for patients ages 0-18. By taking a holistic approach to our pediatric occupational therapy services, our goal is to build upon your child’s strengths to help them overcome their unique obstacles. We take the time to learn about their likes, dislikes, motivators, and frustrations and use that information to provide a higher level of care. Our compassionate pediatric occupational therapist works closely with parents and caregivers to recognize each child’s challenges and devise a specialized treatment plan that promotes independence and wellness.
Whether your child has difficulty concentrating in school, struggles with texture and touch, or needs help developing their fine motor or self-care skills, we’re here to help. We provide pediatric occupational therapy services that are both fun and effective to help children get the most out of their treatment plans!
Our pediatric OT clinic uses a collaborative and family-centered approach. By involving parents and caregivers in treatment, children have a stronger support system and are more likely to practice what they learn during sessions at home.
Jennifer Metts is a licensed pediatric occupational therapist through the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy (KBLOT) and is nationally certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
OT Pediatric Therapy Clinic accepts payment both privately and through the following insurance providers: Passport, Anthem BCBS, WellCare, Aetna Better Health Kentucky, Humana, Humana Caresource, United Healthcare.
Begin your child’s occupational therapy journey in just three easy steps!
The first step to beginning treatment with our clinic is to obtain a referral from a licensed healthcare professional. This could include your primary care physician, a neurologist, an orthopedic doctor, etc. Then, schedule an appointment online or call our office to schedule by phone.
During your child’s initial evaluation, our
pediatric occupational therapist will first speak with you to gather important background and developmental information. Then, we will perform a play-based assessment directly with the child to observe their skill levels in various areas.
Following the child’s assessment, our therapist will address any concerns they may have and work with you to set goals and create a treatment plan that reflects the needs and priorities of the child and the family. Then, we will schedule your child’s first pediatric occupational therapy session and begin treatment on a day that is convenient for you.

Not every child thinks the same, behaves the same, or has the same struggles. Our pediatric occupational therapy clinic is passionate about celebrating each child’s unique gifts and supporting them in their journey to growth and healthy development. We incorporate your child’s strengths, characteristics, and interests into their treatment plan to maximize function and target their goals in a fun, engaging way. Our pediatric occupational therapist uses the latest research and evidence to shape services and interventions, and encourages parents and caregivers to attend sessions so that they may learn how to support their child’s progress at home in their natural environment.
